Upon completion of our Emergency First Aid at Work course, all participants will possess the necessary skills and knowledge to act as Emergency First Aiders in their workplace, offering immediate, secure, and efficient treatment to casualties. The course entails a minimum of six classroom hours encompassing practical and theoretical exercises, along with pre-course preparations. Continuous practical evaluation by the instructor will be conducted, and a three-year qualification will be provided to individuals meeting the set standards. Furthermore, it is highly recommended by the HSE that all learners partake in a three-hour annual refresher programme to maintain and enhance their first aid competencies.

• Resuscitation and AED awareness
• Burns
• Assessment of the situation

• Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

• Basic hygiene in First Aid
• Bleeding control
• Shock
Practical assessment is continuously carried out by the instructor to evaluate and ensure that learners are effectively demonstrating their first aid skills and readiness to respond in emergency situations. This ongoing assessment allows for immediate feedback, guidance, and skill improvement throughout the course, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to provide necessary aid when needed.
