Funding criteria

This is a Community Learning Programme delivered in partnership with the East Berkshire Community Learning and Skills Service, Slough Borough Council and the RBWM.
This course is available for free for learners who meet the funding eligibility criteria below:

– Resident within the boroughs of Slough or RBWM
– Resident in the UK continuously for 3 years or more (exceptions apply for refugees)
– Have Right to Work in the UK
– Aged 19 years+

Progression opportunities

Learning outcomes:

– A clear understanding of the importance of a child-focused approach in education settings
– Confidence to implement de-escalation techniques in a challenging classroom environment
– Confidence in covering lessons as a Cover Teacher

Learners could progress into a Level 2 qualification
Learners who achieve the qualification will be invited for an interview

The teaching was very good and informative whilst also being entertaining at getting the class involved and working as a team to learn the modules. The presentation slides were very good and easy to read and learn from. Rusidha taught us very well, as well as including some real life experiences to help better explain some of the modules.
