Before joining Educate 2Gether’s Skills Bootcamp in SEND Support, Tasnim Ara was a full-time mother looking to build her knowledge and develop a career supporting children with additional needs. She enrolled on the programme with a particular interest in Autism and ADHD and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Throughout the Skills Bootcamp, Tasnim demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and personal development. Alongside gaining a deeper understanding of SEND, she developed practical skills in supporting children’s communication, emotional wellbeing, social development and learning needs. Educate 2Gether also provided tailored support to strengthen her digital skills, helping her build confidence with online learning, digital tools and workplace technology.
The programme helped Tasnim develop the confidence and knowledge needed to progress into employment. She completed a range of industry-relevant training, including Autism Awareness, ADHD Awareness, Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health Awareness, further enhancing her ability to support children effectively.
Following completion of the Skills Bootcamp, Tasnim secured employment with Worldwide Education Recruitment, successfully achieving the career goal she had set herself at the start of the programme. Since entering the sector, she has received positive feedback from nurseries for her caring, patient and supportive approach with children. Her ability to build trusting relationships and create inclusive environments has enabled her to make a meaningful impact from the outset.
Reflecting on the programme, Tasnim credits the Skills Bootcamp with increasing her confidence, enhancing her understanding of SEND and preparing her for employment. She particularly valued the tutor support, practical learning and guidance received throughout her journey. Today, she continues to develop her career in SEND support and education, making a meaningful difference to the children and families she supports every day.
