Skills Bootcamp in Health & Social Care

Our 16-week programme is designed to equip the learners with the practical skills required to secure employment in the Health & Social Care or the Education sector. Learners can progress into roles such as Learning Support Assistant, SEN Assistants or Care Assistants. This programme is aimed at workers who will support individuals with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities as part of their job role.

3 WEEKS – NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities
2 DAYS – FAA Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (2 days)
2 DAYS – FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid for Mental Health
1 DAY – FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
1 DAY – FAA Level 3 Award in Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis
1 DAY – FAA Level 3 Award in Oxygen Therapy Administration
1 DAY – Employability skills workshop (CV writing, interview tips, mock interviews)

6 WEEKS – NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health
Work placement as a Learning Support Assistant in SEN schools

Progression opportunities

Learners are expected to progress into employment within 6 months

*The eligibility criteria for funding are the following:

  1. Resident within the boroughs of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead
  2. Unemployed or in receipt of low income (less than £20,000 per year)
  3. Resident in the UK continuously for 3 years or more (exceptions apply for refugees)
  4. In receipt of state benefits (Universal Credit, JSA, etc.)
  5. Have Right to Work in the UK
  6. Aged 19 years+
  7. Not being on an apprenticeship

There is a £125 cancellation fee if a learner enrols and fails to complete or withdraws early from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs. We may be able to offer extensions if learners are unable to meet the set submission deadline. Please read the declaration on the enrolment form carefully before signing up.
